On April 25, 2024, The 5th Session of the 9th Executive Council Meeting of CLIA and 2024 National Leather Industry Associations Conference were held in Lanshan County, Hunan Province.
The theme of the conference is 'Innovation Empowers New Quality Development'. The aim of the conference is to implement in depth the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China as well as the spirit of the National People's Congress(NPC) and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference(CPPCC), promote the industry to actively transform its development mode, adhere to the guidance of technological innovation, accelerate the formation of New Quality Productive Forces, and achieve high-quality development of leather industry. Meanwhile, the conference focused on discussing the key work of local leather industry associations and chambers of commerce in various regions, exchanging economic operation information and development suggestions, and seeking new growth drivers for industry development.
The conference was divided into two sessions. The first session is the analysis and forecast of the macroeconomic situation and the operation status of leather industry, report on the innovation work of the Genuine Leather Mark, and review of the proposal for the 2025 'Moda China' International Footwear, Bags & Garments Fashion Fair. The second session is the exchange of work experiences among local associations.
