Starting with January 1st 2015, Prada Group will take over direct operations of all its stores in Switzerland, including its six franchised stores under the Prada and Miu Miu labels in Zurich , St. Moritz and Gstaad operated for over a decade by local leading luxury fashion retailer Trois Pommes, owned by Trudie Götz.
Since its IPO listing on the Hong Kong stock exchange, Italian luxury giant Prada Group has been gradually taking over direct operations of its mono-brand retail network, as part of a global strategy. All the new Prada store openings are operated directly by Prada Group, including the recently inaugurated stores in Geneva, St Moritz and Crans Montana .
Speaking about the termination of the franchising agreement to economic publication Bilanz, Ms Götz said: ’Prada was my passion. But also a a large proportion of the busines”.
Trois Pommes presently operates a total of 26 luxury fashion stores in Switzerland, both multi-brand and mono-brand. Trois Pommes is the franchisee of Tom Ford (Zurich), Dolce & Gabbana (Zurich), Emilio Pucci (St Moritz), Jil Sander (Basel).
