Outdoor and sports apparel, footwear and equipment group Columbia Sportswear has reported revenues of just under $2.3 billion for the first nine months of 2024, a fall of 6% year on year.
It brought in $1.8 billion of this revenue from sales of apparel, accessories and equipment, and gave a figure of $453.6 million for footwear sales over the nine-month period. These figures represent a fall of 2% for apparel, but a decline of 21% for footwear.
Commenting on the figures, chief executive, Tim Boyle, said warm weather had affected early-season sales of colder-weather products, but he added that there was excitement around “differentiated innovations we are offering consumers”.
