Born in Denmark on 1st August 1962, graduated from the LGR（German Tanning school）in Reutlingen, Germany in 1986. He has been working in the tanning industry more than 27 years. In his career, he worked for well-known tanneries and is an experienced expert on branded business within both the automotive and footwear industry. His experience and professionalism in the leather field has led to a successful career from a leather technician to a professional senior manager. Currently, he is working as Group Chief Operation Officer for the Heshan-Saigon Tan Tec Leather Co., Ltd. and is in charge of the entire operation at both tanneries, leading the operation team of ISA in realizing the objectives for LITE (Low Impact To Environment) manufacturing processes.

ABSTRACT

Isa Tan Tec, leather manufacturer since 1995, owns several production sites in China and Vietnam. We make leather for the automobile and shoes industries. Isa Tan Tec is engaged in a sustainable development approach with important aims as energy and water savings, chemicals consumption and waste production reduction and traceability. Those projects allowed us to reach several significant results especially the client leadtime reduction. Technologies or organizations implemented in Saigon site to conduct those projects will be presented during this conference. Particularly: - Manufacturing process - Water treatment - Natural resources utilization - Waste management The Isa Tan Tec process was recognized by German Energy Agency and LWG.
