Open-cell foam technology provider OrthoLite has expanded its facility in Ambur, Tamil Nadu, India. It has also opened a new sales office in the capital of that Indian state, Chennai.
It said it had embarked on this expansion as the result of recent growth under new leadership.
The project in Ambur has resulted in a capacity of 2 million pairs of insoles per month, three times more than before. The facility there is also able to supply leather footbeds now.
OrthoLite said this increase in capacity makes its operation in India that largest insole manufacturer in South Asia.
It first opened its Ambur factory in 2021. In 2023, Vikash Bajargyan took over as the new general manager of OrthoLite India.
