The 4th Enlarged Council Meeting of the 9th Session of China Leather Industry Association (CLIA), themed with "Advancing with Quality and Innovation", was held in Shanghai on September 2nd, 2024. Over 300 participants attended the meeting, including vice chairmen from leather industry production and operation enterprises and research institutions, representatives from Standing Council Members and Council Members, representatives from local leather industry associations and chambers of commerce across the country, leaders and relevant personnel from the administrative departments of leather industry clusters, as well as journalists from various media.

At the meeting, Li Yuzhong, Vice Chairman of China National Light Industry Council (CNLIC) and Chairman of CLIA, analyzed the economic performance of China's leather industry in 2023 and the first half of 2024. The following documents were reviewed and approved: "2024 Annual Work Report of CLIA", "Proposal on 2025 Annual Work Plan of CLIA", "2023 Income and Expenditure Report of Membership Fees for CLIA", "Proposal on the Change of Vice Chairman for the 9th Session Council Meeting of CLIA in 2024", "Proposal on the Addition of Standing Council Members and Council Members for the 9th Session Council Meeting of CLIA in 2024". Additionally, the vision and preparation for the Moda China International Shoes, Bags & Apparel Fashion Fair 2025, organized by CLIA and will be held concurrently with All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) from September 3rd to 5th, 2025, were introduced.

At the meeting, certificates for the National May Day Labor Medal and National Technical Skill Master were awarded to representatives of the winners. Certificates were also presented to the representatives of award-winning projects of the Second CLIA Technology Achievement Application Awards, as well as to the selected winners of the Craftsman Growth Fund.

The official launch ceremony of the CLIA Show exhibition E-platform was held during the meeting.
