On September 4, 2024, the Sino-US Leather Industry Networking Reception, jointly organized by the Leather and Hide Council of America (LHCA) and the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA), was held in Shanghai.

At the reception, relevant responsible persons from CLIA and LHCA engaged in intensive discussions on the supply, quality, and environmental protection of leather raw materials. Participants unanimously agreed that China and the United States have vast potential for cooperation in the leather industry, and this reception serves as a catalyst for further strengthening cooperation and promoting trade development between the leather industries of the two countries. It is believed that with the concerted efforts of entrepreneurs from both sides, trade cooperation between the Sino-US leather industry will become even more intimate in the future.
